The screen of the Nintendo Switch will indeed touch

If Nintendo refuses to communicate on the Switch by its conference on 13 January, the next console manufacturer does not escape as long rumors. According to the specialized site Eurogamer, the screen of the console would eventually touch.

During the presentation video of the Switch last week, there was no indication that the console would display with touch functionality, unlike the Wii U or Nintendo 3DS. With two coupled controllers, it even seemed that Nintendo had chosen to overlook this feature. It finally seems that the Switch is well equipped with a touch screen. According to Eurogamer site information, it will even be the first console manufacturer to be equipped with a capacitive multi-touch screen, not resistive as was the case until now. The screen would measure 6.2 inches diagonally and would display a 720p resolution.

Furthermore, according to the site information Let's Play Video Games, Nintendo Switch would not use a proprietary port for charging and connecting to the dock, but a USB Type-C plug, the same as that already present on several smartphones and computers. A choice that would allow users to recharge their console with shippers they already have, without buying several proprietary cables as was the case for the 3DS for example.

Finally, interviewed by Bloomberg, the CEO of Nintendo, Tatsumi Kimishima, Nintendo announced that the Switch is rich in diverse and varied accessories in addition Joy-Con controllers or Switch Pro "in terms of ties to the party what the Central Switch, you can call it accessories, or hardware upgrades. It is probably more correct to call them accessories. You can be sure there will be more. " A statement that is reminiscent of the concept of scalable console designed by Ryan Salamanda several months ago.

We will have more information about the technical features of the Nintendo Switch at the conference provided by the manufacturer on 13 January.
