Acer Swift 7 |
Acer has unveiled its new range of laptops at the IFA exhibition which is being held in Berlin. There is a gaming PC with curved screen (21 X), the first convertible market Chromebook and the Swift Spin and ranges.
Most of the time, the consumer can get lost in the ranges of PC manufacturers. Acer tries to limit this problem with more readable lines. Thus, Swift are conventional laptops whose asset is the finesse and Spin are convertible. Each of these ranges is available in four machines from 1 to 7, 1 being the entry-level model.
Acer Swift 3 |
Start with the Swift. Swift 7 is the ultimate machine from Acer. This is the mobile "the finest in the world," as indicated by its manufacturer, with 9.98 mm thickness 1.1 kg. A workhorse of 13.3 inches that will integrate a Core i5 7th generation. Its price is in line with its features: from € 1299. Swift Swift 5 and 3 share similar configurations based on Intel Core and 14-inch screen. More expensive, the Swift 5 offers a thinner design, but the Swift 3 also has a brushed aluminum finish. Available from € 499 (against € 799 for 5 Swift), Swift 3 seems to be, on paper, the best quality / price ratio in this range. Similarly diagonal Swift 1 is displayed at 349 €, for a plastic chassis and few swift processors (Celeron or Pentium).
Acer Spin 5 |
The Spin are convertible. They all offer a 360 ° swivel hinge that turns the tablet. A touch allows slab then use. Acer Active Pen is an option Most of the range is available in 13.3 inches. Only 5 Spin is distinguished by a diagonal of 15.6 ". Spin 1 is available in 11.6 ".
Like the Swift, the best price / quality ratio seems to be on the midrange. Spin Spin 3 and 5 and fulfill this category, both being available from 599 €. Note that only the Spin 7 is equipped with a USB-C connection while on the Swift, only the entry-level model does not.
Swift and Spin will all be available this fall, between September and November depending on the model.
