Samsung has already exchanged many Galaxy Note 7 because of defective batteries that caused the smartphone to catch fire while charging. But other reports Samsung smartphones have been ignited on the surface in between.
The smartphone has smoked up the passenger cabin
The latest report shows that NDTV Galaxy Note 2 caught fire and started smoking up the passenger on the plane IndiGo flying from Chennai to Singapore earlier this week.
The Indian Directorate General of Civil Aviation said the passengers on the flight smelled smoke chest air bags and cabin crew was alerted. It seems that a smartphone Galaxy Note 2 was located in a garbage bag and there was smoke and emitting sparks. The cabin crew used a fire extinguisher to ensure that the phone has not started a fire and then placed in a container with water.
Samsung is looking at the issue and remains in contact with authorities
Samsung officials said the company is looking into the matter and they will remain in contact with the authorities during the investigation. In addition, the Civil Aviation Authority plans to send an advisory note to all airlines, warning them to keep the Samsung Note smartphones disabled during flights or ban commercial flights phones even. There were no reports of numerous Galaxy Note 2 which caught fire and the time is certainly unfortunate for Samsung. In fact, since the recall began, there have been many cases in which other Samsung phones that note 7 caught fire and caused property damage or even injury to the owners. Obviously, all cases are under investigation. Samsung has even been sued when a Galaxy S7 Edge caught fire in the pocket of its owner and caused burns of second and third degree.
Samsung Galaxy Note 2 was released in September 2012, which means that the phone could be used for a maximum of 4 years, in which case the battery could be replaced by a third and even more recent. The investigation into the matter reveal if this is the case.
