Volkswagen I.D. Concept: electric vehicles with up to 600 km range























Volkswagen unveils the opportunity Motor at the Paris a new electric concept which promises a range of up to 600 kilometers, and could be put into production from 2020.
The Volkswagen Group is now very involved in the development of electric vehicles, after the scandal of rigged measures exhaust emissions of some diesel engines and aligns the all-electric concepts as technology rooms.

For the Paris Motor Show in Paris, it is a concept that was unveiled ID and that should be the basis for a series production car from 2020. It will include the previously announced strategy of Volkswagen to produce 2 to 3 million electric cars annually by 2025.


The various reports show a vehicle about the size of a golf and has a compact electric motor 125 kW. It should embark various detection sensors, which will bring an autopilot mode called I.D. Pilot.et which, once activated, will lead to the retraction of the steering wheel, freeing up space in the cockpit.

The other big announcement about the I.D. Concept covers autonomy since Volkswagen promises between 400 and 600 kilometers of running, but beware there is a calculation according to the NEDC standard reporting to a very theoretical calculation.
