Microsoft has taken advantage of Computex 2017 to present the first models of mixed reality headphones, which will mix virtual reality and augmented reality.
These headphones, which will work with its Hololens system, will be manufactured by partners such as Dell, Lenovo or Asus and will be designed to run on Windows 10 and Xbox One.
Visitors to Computex were able to admire the first three headphones that received the Microsoft dubbing to host its mixed reality service. Several helmets have been presented, but for the time being no detailed technical data has yet been disclosed. Lenovo said it wants to create an accessible headset, while Asus targets the high end. Dell, meanwhile, presented a white headset that seems to be connected to a cable, unlike the first. Prices, meanwhile, are expected to be around $ 300, in the average price announced by Microsoft.
All of these headsets could be available later this year, according to Microsoft, which has so far given no date. They should initially be exclusive to the US market, as is already the case with development kits offered by Microsoft.
