The HTC Breeze, an affordable smartphone with a borderless screen for the MWC?

This is a principle of course nowadays. In terms of smartphone, the more expensive you pay, the more luxurious is your device. High-end materials and advanced electronics (such as state-of-the-art processors, big screen, huge resolution) are the peculiarity of the iPhone X and other Samsung S8 (meanwhile the Samsung S9).

According to Evan Blass, prolific "reporter" of information on smartphones on Twitter, HTC would like to offer features normally reserved for the most advanced smartphones, to make them accessible to the wider public. Blass reveals in a tweet that HTC is currently working on a terminal called "Breeze". This would be an entry-level Android smartphone that will feature a thin-screen screen frame.

Its diagonal should be 5.5 inches at an aspect ratio of 18: 9, and the screen should almost completely cover the front of the camera. However, the other specifications are less impressive: Mediatek chip, 2 GB RAM and 16 GB storage, 5 and 13 MP front-to-back cameras respectively, 2730mAh capacity battery. Despite lower quality components, let's count on HTC to offer us with the HTC Breeze, a smartphone with a successful design and at a very low price.

No info is given about the version of Android that will be installed, but we can reasonably assume that it should be Android 8.0. HTC said last year that it planned to market only 5 to 6 smartphones in 2018. Restructuring period after the buyout by Google or decline of temporary creativity? Let's wait to see the eventual announcement of HTC at the MWC 2018.
