Android P could record your calls natively

According to an article in Neowin, the new version of Android, Android P, will offer for the first time the recording of conversations natively.
The output of the successor of Android Oreo is still a few months away, so these leaks are to be taken with care. It was noted that some codes added in the Android Open Source Project, mention the playback of a "sound emitted during the recording of a call" which would be repeated every fifteen seconds at a sound frequency of 1400Hz.

This sound is added to the outgoing audio stream so that the person on the other end of the line knows that the call is being recorded. This feature will be disable (or not) depending on local law, but it can be assumed that it aims to not put Android P outlaw. Native call recording does not seem to be for developers, as the analysis of the project does not reveal a publicly accessible API.

Android P is expected to be unveiled by Google at the I / O conference taking place in Mountain View from May 8 to 10, 2018.
