Samsung Galaxy A5 2018: a new index points to the Infinity Display

The 18.5: 9 screen of the Samsung Galaxy A5 2018 is once again talking about him, this time in an HTML5Test benchmark. The aura, will not it?

Samsung does not just have its Galaxy S and Galaxy Note ranges. Although the eyes are often turned to these high-end devices that serve as technological showcases for the brand, much of the Korean giant's revenue is consolidated through its more affordable ranges. In France, the Galaxy A5 wins every year a great success critical and commercial.

This year, the Galaxy A5 2018 is expected firmly, especially since it could be the first of the range to ship an 18.5: 9 borderless screen. According to some rumors anyway, since others say the opposite. Chances, however, always switch a little more side of the screen Infinity Display.

Infinity Display or not?

The Dutch Galaxy Club site has discovered that the SM-A530F (assumed code name for the upcoming Galaxy A5) is present in the HTML5Test benchmark database. Among the information displayed, we see the presence of Android 7.1.1 Nougat, but also the screen definition: 412 x 846 pixels.

This definition is obviously very low and without any doubt deliberately lowered, but it is important to note that this is a ratio of 18.5: 9. It could therefore be a low-resolution test of the phone made in order to see the maximum performance of the phone.

Note that such a design would require Samsung to rethink the positioning of the fingerprint sensor. The latter would then certainly end up on the back of the phone, as is the case on its latest high-end smartphones.

No release date

Also note that all the latest rumors about the Galaxy A5 2018 point to a borderless screen format 18.5: 9. For the time being, however, no date of presentation has been mentioned.
