In Japan, self-repairing glass is developed

These Japanese researchers have developed a glass that can repair itself. The latter were able to achieve this result by creating a substance called "polyether thiocarbamide". It is able to merge, it is enough to superpose two plates and to press slightly.
This concept is not new, but there are some nice surprises. It was born by chance while the researchers were working on a new adhesive.

So far, it must be said that self-repairing materials repair only superficial cracks. The most important or deep scratches therefore have no cure. It is far from the promise of interview with this substance created by Japanese researchers, it is really promising. If a screen breaks in pieces, it will be like new again.

Currently, smartphone manufacturers offer phone models with screens that are more robust and less prone to cracking. With this new concept developed by Japanese researchers, builders will probably no longer have to worry about cracks.
