Drones with passengers this summer in Dubai

Dubai has a definite taste for futuristic gadgets. Their firefighters will travel in jetpacks and the capital of UAE will have a museum of the future that cost nearly $ 136 million.
But while some big companies are considering flying taxi projects, it is finally Dubai that will see the first prototypes criss-cross the sky in July this year. The head of the United Arab Emirates Roads and Transport Agency announced the news at the World Government Summit.

Self-transporting Drone

It is the Chinese drone present at the CES 2016 that was chosen after conclusive tests around the Burj Al-Arab skyscraper in Dubai. The EHang 184 will have a range of 30 minutes and can reach 160 km / h thanks to its eight electric motors. Weighing 250 kg, the vehicle can carry only one person whose weight is limited to 360 kg with the luggage.

The drone requires no knowledge in aeronautics since it is entirely autonomous. Just enter an address for the device to fly by itself. The EHang 184 communicates to a control room via a 4 G wireless network. If the device loses autonomy, there are already pre-programmed landing points throughout the city.
