Intel would like to bend laptops

Intel would like to bend laptops

The PC industry is currently experiencing a loss of speed which forces some companies to diversify their offerings.
While smartphones are moving towards flexible screens, laptops could also espouse this tendency to believe this patent filed by Intel. Because even though patents sometimes remain at a theoretical stage, they give an idea of the direction of a company.

Hybrid and curved notebook

That of Intel dates from November with the mention "electronic device with detachable detachable screen". According to the diagrams unveiled by The Leaker, Intel would work on a hybrid computer in the same register as the Microsoft Surface range. But the giant processors goes further with the curved design of the screen and keyboard. This device could also carry a battery as the screen that will serve as a tablet once detached according to The Leaker.

The rumors say that this product will be launched with the eighth generation of the Intel Core processor. A battery-saving mode would automatically switch on when the two components separate. But in the meantime, Intel is currently working on the Project Alloy, an augmented reality headset.
