Intel se lance sur le marché des drones avec Aero Ready To Fly

On the occasion of the Intel Developer Forum 2016, Intel invests the market for drones with Aero Ready To Fly, a drone equipped with a camera and RealSense for developers.
We continue our progression in the Deep Learning Aero Ready To Fly Intel, which - as the name suggests - is a loan drone to fly, but primarily for developers.

Powered by an Atom processor house, the Aero will be equipped with a RealSense camera capable of detecting objects, avoid and especially to provide an alternative route to continue to follow a subject. This technology therefore the drone to know where it goes and see his 3D environment as a human. RealSense fits into the logic of Intel to develop "Sensitive Devices," sensitive devices to interact with our environment via the scan and analyze what they see. During the conference, the brand also introduced the professional version of Typhoon H Yuneec, Chinese brand drone in which it has invested and which will integrate the technology RealSense. No dear readers impatience, it happens very soon in our laboratories!

In addition to the integration of this technology, the Aero will be equipped with the application AirMap indicating the place where it is possible to fly - or not - his drone and gives real-time information about the weather, or on unexpected events - such as a fire, for example. However, it is unclear whether the integration of the application will take control of the drone instead of the driver and prevent it from flying off in the event of a risk area around an airport or city.

Despite enticing features, the Aero is not aimed at the general public first. Indeed, it is primarily designed for developers so that they maximize the flight capabilities of these devices and feed the data and functionality of drones. However, Brian Krzanich, CEO of the company says it will be possible to build its own Aero by equipping its account of a flying structure, The Computer Board Aero platform and RealSense kit for € 548. Aero Ready To Fly will be available in December.
