Google Maps is getting a makeover with new colors

Google Maps launches a new update of its platform. The service presents a brand new design for more convenience. The new version provides a new color system to identify points of interest and will also adapt to the user's means of transport.

Google Maps is a beauty with a much clearer interface, for ease of identification. First, the new version of Google Maps adapts to the mode of transport of its user. This means that if the user uses public transport, Google Maps will highlight the bus or metro stations and the different routes.

Until now, Google Maps identified all points of interest in the same way with blue icons, which could create some confusion. To better differentiate points of interest, Google has implemented different colors. Orange now refers to restaurants and bars, blue shopping, pink hospitals, green water for activities and recreation, green for outdoor activities, light blue for transportation, etc. . With this new coding, it will now be easier to search for a cinema or a restaurant.

The new Google Maps update will be available in the coming weeks. It will be deployed on Google Assistant, Google Search, Google Earth and Android Auto.
